The course will employ various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and keep students engaged. These may include hands-on activities, group work, games, simulations, and problem-solving challenges.

Sample Lessons:

  • Number theory: prime and composite numbers, factors, multiples, and divisibility
  • Geometry: lines, angles, polygons, and symmetry
  • Measurement: length, perimeter, area, volume, and mass
  • Data analysis: collecting, organizing, and interpreting data using charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Algebraic thinking: patterns, equations, and variables
  • Problem-solving: applying mathematical concepts to real-world problems and situations

Please Note: This course is nonrefundable after 09/04/2024.

Program Schedule:

  • Students have a supervised snack period in the HCCS cafeteria from 2:20pm to 2:45pm.
  • Instructional sessions are scheduled from 2:45pm to 4:00pm, followed by a brief transition period for students from 4:00pm to 4:15pm.
