Mindful Capoeira
Provided by AfroBrazil Arts
Course Overview:
Exploring basic moves like cartwheels, circular kicks, and escape moves helps children get fit while learning about Afro-Brazilian culture. Capoeira is a self-defense hidden in dance created by Africans and their descendants in Brazil. Children safely explore not only the capoeira moves. We learn Portuguese songs and watch and discuss videos featuring capoeira's Afro-Brazilian roots. This class is fun, challenging, and is aligned with our mission to inspire Wellness, Leadership, and Community.
