Course Overview:

Combine your creativity, curiosity, storytelling abilities, and melodious voice, and learn to create a podcast! In this Hawk’s Nest class, our goal will be to work together to develop ideas and generate content for an original podcast or maybe multiple podcasts. We will learn how to draft episodes, record audio content, and publish our work for others to hear.

(The HCES-Hawk's Nest Program does not share or post any of the students' likenesses or work on public platforms. All materials created in this program will only be shared within the HCCS community.)

• Students have a supervised snack period in the HCCS cafeteria from 2:20pm to 2:45pm.
• Instructional sessions are scheduled from 2:45pm to 4:00pm, followed by a brief transition period for students from 4:00pm to 4:15pm.
• After classes and transitioning, students can participate in various engaging after-school activities from 4:15pm to 5:30pm.
• Options include joining student clubs, studying in the HCES library (for grades 2-6) or attending storytelling sessions (for grades K-1), and having free play in the cafeteria or courtyard. [Details about these activities, including club descriptions, schedules, and sign-up information, will be shared during the first week of school.]
