Puppet Theater Workshop

Course Overview:
Led by professional actress and puppeteer, Tiffany Iris (NewVictory Theater, and Bronx Zoo), kids develop original, zany puppet characters and then learn how to construct and manipulate these puppets for a fun-filled final showcase for family and friends! This class is great for young creatives who like to craft and design, laugh, and play! This class helps children build social and emotional skills, and gain confidence, as they learn to collaborate with others and express their own unique ideas! At the end of the semester, students will perform with their puppets in the Hawk's Nest Family Theater Night.
Please Note: This course is nonrefundable after 08/19/2024.
- Students have a supervised snack period in the HCCS cafeteria from 2:20pm to 2:45pm.
- Instructional sessions are scheduled from 2:45pm to 4:00pm, followed by a brief transition period for students from 4:00pm to 4:15pm.
- After classes and transitioning, students can participate in various engaging after-school activities from 4:15pm to 5:30pm.
- Options include joining student clubs, studying in the HCES library (for grades 2-6) or attending storytelling sessions (for grades K-1), and having free play in the cafeteria or courtyard. [Details about these activities, including club descriptions, schedules, and sign-up information, will be shared during the first week of school.]
