Course Overview:

Table tennis is an exciting, dynamic, and enjoyable sport to learn and master. Learning the sport requires patience, finesse, quickness, balance, agility, and strategic thinking. The drills and skills taught in level one are designed to improve students – stamina, balance, hand-eye coordination, agility, flexibility, and muscular strength. At the end of the program, your students should know the basic rules of table tennis, be able to rally and score, properly grip the racquet, and routinely warm up before play.

Please Note: This course is nonrefundable after 08/19/2024.

Program Schedule:

  • Students have a supervised snack period in the HCCS cafeteria from 2:20pm to 2:45pm.
  • Instructional sessions are scheduled from 2:45pm to 4:00pm, followed by a brief transition period for students from 4:00pm to 4:15pm.
  • After classes and transitioning, students can participate in various engaging after-school activities from 4:15pm to 5:30pm.
  • Options include joining student clubs, studying in the HCES library (for grades 2-6) or attending storytelling sessions (for grades K-1), and having free play in the cafeteria or courtyard. [Details about these activities, including club descriptions, schedules, and sign-up information, will be shared during the first week of school.]
