Music Magic (Grades 3-6) Wednesdays

Get ready to make music, move your body, and have a blast! Join Jonah Kreitner, a talented multi-instrumentalist and passionate educator, for an afterschool adventure where rhythm, melody, and imagination come to life. A recent graduate of the New England Conservatory and Tufts University, and a proud alum of Hunter College High School, Jonah brings high energy, deep musical knowledge, and a love of working with young musicians.

In this dynamic and joyful class, students will explore a wide range of musical activities—singing, drumming, composing, and improvising—all while building listening skills, creativity, and confidence. Whether your child is new to music or already loves to jam, this class will inspire them to find their own musical voice in a supportive and fun environment.

No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and your ears!

Please Note: This course is nonrefundable after 09/04/2025.

• Students have a supervised snack period in the HCCS cafeteria from 2:20pm to 2:45pm.
• Instructional sessions are scheduled from 2:45pm to 4:00pm, followed by a brief transition period for students from 4:00pm to 4:15pm.
• After classes and transitioning, students can participate in various engaging after-school activities from 4:15pm to 5:30pm.
• Options include joining student clubs, studying in the HCES library (for grades 2-6) or attending storytelling sessions (for grades K-1), and having free play in the cafeteria or courtyard.
