Description
Ashtanga Yoga
Provided by Hawk's Nest Teacher, Ms. Alexis
What is yoga? Enjoy class discussions and movement as we learn about the 8 limbs of yoga and explore ways we can practice yoga on and off the mat. Yoga can support children in learning mindful tools, building bodily and spatial awareness, learning how to consciously self and co-regulate, practicing communication, and so much more. We'll roll around a bit, shake the body a bit, and make some fun sounds.
Impact on Education and Personal Growth:
Participating in the Ashtanga Yoga course provides students with numerous educational and personal benefits. It enhances their ability to focus and manage stress through mindfulness practices. Students develop greater physical awareness and flexibility, which can improve their overall health and well-being. The practice of yoga fosters emotional regulation and resilience, empowering students to handle challenges calmly and effectively. Additionally, yoga promotes a sense of community and connection as students engage in group activities and share their experiences. By cultivating these skills, students can enhance their personal growth and academic performance, contributing to a balanced and fulfilling life.
