Description

Paint & Play Workshop

Provided by Hawk's Nest Teacher, Ms. Fadilta

Course Overview:

Paint and Play Workshop will be a class for young artists to engage with artistry in a fun,
creative, and enjoyable way. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with various
painting techniques, colors, and materials to create their own masterpieces. Using different
painting mediums and techniques, students will learn how to mix paints, use different brush strokes, and unleash their imagination on canvas. The class will enable students to develop their
fine motor skills, creativity, and self-expression. The class will encourage students to express
themselves through art, embrace their creativity, and enjoy the process of making art through a
blend of structured guidance plus students' own creative freedom.

Impact on Education and Personal Growth:

The Paint and Play Workshop fosters educational and personal growth in students by enhancing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability. Through art, it also nurtures self-expression, emotional intelligence, individuality, and self-confidence. The workshop provides a therapeutic outlet for stress relief and emotional regulation and promotes social skills like communication, cooperation, and empathy through collaboration and feedback sharing.

Sample Lessons:

  • Color Mixing Magic: Students will learn about primary and secondary colors, mix them, and create a painting.
  • Brush Stroke Basics: Students will explore different brush strokes, practice techniques, and create artwork.
  • Nature's Palette: Students will draw inspiration from nature, use natural materials, and create artwork.
  • Storytelling Through Art: Students will use art to tell a story, brainstorm narratives, and create narrative artwork.
