Course Overview:

Students learn all the keyboard basics, such as note reading, rhythm and counting, chords, and much more, all while learning to play songs they really like! Whether it's pop hits like "Old Town Road" or "Havana," game themes like "Super Mario" "Fortnight" and "Legends of Zelda" even Bach and Beethoven, they're all within reach, right from the first class! Students progress at their own pace. Classes are 90 mins, and all books, sheet music, and learning aids are included. Also included is access to iPiano Lab online learning library, which includes tutorials of all the lessons and songs, plus quizzes, fun interactive learning games, and much more. Each semester, we host two recitals for parents to attend, one in the middle of the semester and one for the last class. 

Please Note: This course is nonrefundable after 01/15/2025.

 

Program Schedule:

  • Students have a supervised snack period in the HCCS cafeteria from 2:20pm to 2:45pm.
  • Instructional sessions are scheduled from 2:45pm to 4:00pm, followed by a brief transition period for students from 4:00pm to 4:15pm.
  • After classes and transitioning, students can participate in various engaging after-school activities from 4:15pm to 5:30pm.
  • Options include joining student clubs, studying in the HCES library (for grades 2-6) or attending storytelling sessions (for grades K-1), and having free play in the cafeteria or courtyard. [Details about these activities, including club descriptions, schedules, and sign-up information, will be shared during the first week of school.]
