Course Overview:
Based on Apple's training program, "A Comprehensive Study of iLife," this hands-on course introduces students to the features and interface of iLife. iLife is a suite of digital authoring tools that comes with every Mac: Photos, iMovie, and Garageband. The course expands to web tools such as Comic Life, Book Creator, Powtoon, Kahoot, and Game Design. It is also intuitive even if you do not have an Apple-based device.
Program Schedule:
- Students have a supervised snack period in the HCCS cafeteria from 2:20pm to 2:45pm.
- Instructional sessions are scheduled from 2:45pm to 4:00pm, followed by a brief transition period for students from 4:00pm to 4:15pm.
- After classes and transitioning, students can participate in various engaging after-school activities from 4:15pm to 5:30pm.
- Options include joining student clubs, studying in the HCES library (for grades 2-6) or attending storytelling sessions (for grades K-1), and having free play in the cafeteria or courtyard. [Details about these activities, including club descriptions, schedules, and sign-up information, will be shared during the first week of school.]
