Program Overview

The Hawk's Nest After School Program operates from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM on school days, offering students a structured yet engaging environment. The program is divided into Fall (September to January) and Spring (February to June) semesters, ensuring a consistent yet flexible schedule throughout the academic year.

A typical day at Hawk’s Nest begins with snack time in the cafeteria from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM. Parents are encouraged to pack nutritious snacks for their children, as the program does not provide snacks, and elementary students are not permitted to use vending machines. After snack time, students are picked up by their after-school teachers at 2:45 PM and escorted to their classrooms for enrichment classes, which run until 4:00 PM.

Dismissal begins around 4:00 - 4:15 PM, allowing time for students to pack up their belongings and make their way to the designated pick-up area. For those enrolled in clubs, tutoring, or study nests, leaders or tutors will collect the students from the cafeteria at 4:15 PM and guide them to their respective classrooms. These sessions conclude at 5:00 PM, after which students are escorted to the courtyard or cafeteria (during inclement weather) for a free play session. Parents or guardians are expected to pick up their children by 5:30 PM, ensuring a smooth and timely end to the day.
