Hawk's Nest Dismissal Procedures

To ensure the safety and security of our students, we use the Jumbula check-out system for efficient dismissal procedures. A Hawk's Nest staff member will be stationed at the 95th Street entrance for guardians to sign their children out using their designated dismissal codes. Please note that a dismissal code is required to check your child out of Hawk's Nest. If you need assistance, please contact the Hawk's Nest team. Important Note: If you have multiple Jumbula accounts with HCES, you must generate the dismissal code from the account where your child is registered for the current semester. Codes generated from the incorrect account will not function at check-out. You can access your Jumbula account at hces.jumbula.com. 

If you need to pick up your child early from Hawk’s Nest, please send an email or call the Hawk’s Nest office. A staff member will bring your child to the 95th Street entrance for early pickup. Should you be late for pickup, it's essential to notify the Hawk’s Nest office. A late pick-up fee of $1 per minute will be applied to your Jumbula account starting from 5:30 PM. An additional aftercare option is available from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM for a fee of $10, provided you request it before 5:30 PM.

Student Self-Dismissal

If you choose to allow your child to self-dismiss from the after-school program, there are a few important steps you need to follow to ensure their safety and compliance with our protocols.

  1. Authorize Self-Dismissal in Jumbula: Log into your Jumbula account and add your child as an authorized pick-up person. This step is crucial as it formally recognizes that your child has permission to leave the program on their own.

  2. Generate a Dismissal Code: Just like you would for yourself or any other authorized pick-up person, you need to generate a unique dismissal code for your child through Jumbula. This code acts as a security measure to confirm that your child has the right to leave the program independently.

  3. Presenting the Dismissal Code: Before leaving the school campus, your child must present their dismissal code to a Hawks Nest staff member. This ensures that staff are aware your child is leaving and can verify that it is permitted.

Generating the Authentication Codes in the Parent Dashboard

Step 1: Log into Jumbula and go to the dashboard by clicking on the Home menu option.

Step 2: Click on the icon seen in the image below for each parent and/or authorized pick up person who will pick up your child:

Step 3: Note the "Pin Code" and "QR Code". You will need to use this code for proper evening checkout. Hawk's Nest staff will need to scan the QR code or input the pin code at pick-up.

Step 1: Sign in to your Jumbula account and click on the bars in the right corner to open the menu.

Step 2: Click on Home.

Step 3: Under parent/guardian, click on the icon indicated by the red arrows in the image below.
